THP Junior and Youth Academy
As part of the Tennessee Highway Patrol's community service initiative, each summer the THP hosts a free trooper academy for boys and girls. The program is held at the THP Training Center and is designed to educate youth who may have an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
Cadets will be taught trooper values, specifically, respect, discipline, and integrity. The cadets will also enjoy recreational activities that include team building exercises, physical fitness, and training. The junior cadets will be involved in community service projects the week of their camp.
Junior Trooper Academy
This academy is for students in grades 5 - 8 and is a day camp. Transportation will be provided from and to Cookeville, Murfreesboro, Lawrenceburg and Dickson.
