2018 Summer Grant

The Read to be Ready Summer Grant just completed its third year, and because of an investment of Child Care and Development Block Grant Funds from the Department of Human Services, served over 7,700 students and families. For the second year in a row, students that participated in the program had statistically significant gains in their achievement and motivation. Review the resources below to learn more about the the learning that occurred in Tennessee over the summer due to this partnership.

Below are lists of the texts that appeared in the 2018 Read to be Ready Summer Conference manual; these books were available for viewing during the required summer grant conference in the Book Room. These lists provide examples of books that could be used during camp but are not exhaustive or necessarily preferred over other equivalent text choices.
