Tennessee Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) Reinvestment Program
Portable Fans and Portable Air Cleaners Application
Through the COVID-19 In-Person Visitation Aid Application, nursing homes can request the use of Civil Money Penalty (CMP) reinvestment funds to purchase indoor portable fans or indoor portable air cleaners with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA, H-13 or 14) filters to increase or improve air quality. A maximum use of $3,000 per facility including shipping costs may be requested. Please see application for allowable and prohibited uses of CMP funds. When utilizing these items for visitation purposes, facilities need to ensure appropriate life safety code requirements found at 42 CFR 483.90 are met, unless waived under the PHE declaration.
Federally certified nursing homes interested in this funding opportunity are asked to submit a competed CMP COVID-19 In-Person Visitation Aid Application to Shaquallah Shanks at Shaquallah.S.Shanks@tn.gov. To be considered for funding, each application must list the type of equipment including the brand and model.
