Success Stories

As the pregnancy smoking cessation program has developed across the state there have been many success stories. One recent story occurred in Nashville/Davidson County’s Metro Public Health Department, as it had its first participant successfully complete the BABY & ME-Tobacco Free Program™ (BMTFP) in June 2018.

Metro’s first mother to complete the program faithfully attended her prenatal and postpartum appointments with a positive attitude and was committed to creating a healthier lifestyle for herself and her child. She quit smoking in January, 2018, and BMTFP staff are confident she will continue to remain smoke free!
