Reports and Publications

The Department of Health collects data on women’s health from the birth and death certificates and through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.

These data include information on pregnancies, births, causes of death, marriages, and divorces.

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System information includes data on smoking, diabetes, mammograms, and pap smears, as examples.

The Department publishes an annual report on women’s health in Tennessee.
