Child Health Month 2019

CHM-Flyer-2019

Child Health Day is Federally Observed the first Monday each October. The holiday was enacted by
Congress in 1928, and was first celebrated on May 1, 1929 under President
Calvin Coolidge. On Child Health Day, all agencies and organizations
interested in child welfare are invited to unite in observing exercises that
will make the people of the United States aware of the fundamental necessity
of a year-round program to protect and develop the health of the children of
the United States. Since 2010 Tennessee has opted to celebrate Child Health
Week the first week of October. In 2019, CHM will be the whole month of October 2019.
