Tennessee eWIC (TNWIC)

TNWIC Card

Overview

The Tennessee WIC Program has moved from a paper-based method of benefit issuance to an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) system.  Instead of issuing paper food instruments (vouchers), WIC food benefits are issued into an electronic benefit account.

Families use their TNWIC card and PIN to purchase their WIC approved foods at WIC authorized grocery stores and select pharmacies.

TNWIC is now available in all 95 counties!

UPC Submission Request

Starting in 2016, Tennessee WIC staff went across the state collecting Universal Product Codes (UPCs) for WIC-eligible food items within our participating grocery stores.  All food items are within a database, which is now the Approved Product List (APL).  The APL is downloaded at the store level, so that all eligible foods are available for WIC participants to purchase.

There may be some items that were missed or new food items that aren't in the APL.  To submit a UPC request, download the UPC Submission Form or complete the online form.  If completing the online form, you may want to look at the UPC Submission Form to gather the information required to complete your online submission.  If you have any questions regarding this process, contact Kelly Soliman at (615) 741-7218.

Send your completed UPC Submission Form and documentation to Kelly Soliman at wic.upcrequest@tn.gov or mail to:
