John Su is currently lead for CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System team, performing surveillance for adverse events after vaccination. He has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at national and international scientific meetings. In his 15 years’ of federal service, Dr Su has also responded to numerous public health emergencies, including hurricanes, pandemic influenza, the West African outbreak of Ebola virus, and the current COVID-19 pandemic. He is a graduate of the Epidemic Intelligence Service (Class of 2006), completed postgraduate medical training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, and completed medical school in Houston, TX.
