Map of cooling and warming center options

This is a map of public spaces with air conditioning or heating in Tennessee. These are the facilities where anybody can go to cool off or warm up during extreme heat or extreme cold.

To view the address and phone number of a heating/cooling center in your area, select your county on the map to view libraries, supermarkets, malls, and community centers. You can also enter your zip code or city for sites in your area. If you don't find anything in your zip code, you can search in your neighboring city or zip code.

To ensure a site is operating during your plan to visit, please call before you go.

Disclaimer:  The term “cooling/warming center” is arbitrary based on common locations that were believed to heated and air conditioned and open to the public.  There is no intentional or implied guarantee that a potential cooling/warming center will adjust their normal business to act as cooling/warming center.  The data used to create this map was gathered from a variety of sources.  The locations may not reflect present day. Due to changes in businesses and offices across Tennessee’s 95 counties, some of the locations may be vacant or may have moved. Use this map as a starting point.  Please contact a potential site for their up-to-date information, business hours and availability.
