Registration

The Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise (Go-DBE) encourages Minority Owned, Woman Owned, Persons with Disability, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned and Small Business Enterprise firms interested in the state of Tennessee procurement opportunities to register for certification with the Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise.

Submitting an application with the Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise is the first step towards certification as a Minority Owned, Women Owned, Persons with Disability, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Small Business Enterprise. Further documentation will be required to complete the process. Please read all displayed information prior to and during the application process.

All applications for registration of certification must be completed in the electronic TN Go-DBE software system. The Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise is unable to process any hard copy application or document request.

You must register in the “Edison” portal in order to participate in the proper sourcing events to bid and participate in state procurement activity prior to certification. This office will require your Edison “Supplier” number prior to the completion of your certification application. Please see the link below at the bottom of this page to access and register as a sourcing bidder in the Edison portal.

Note: Firms that have allowed their certification to expire must complete a new Registration application in order to renew their certification with Go-DBE.

Go-DBE Re-Certification

Renewal of your certification with the Governor's Office of Diversity Business Enterprise is currently required every three (3) years. It is the responsibility of certified firms to keep their certification active and in good standing with the Go-DBE office. Applicants for certification are invited to submit an online application for renewal in our electronic TN Go-DBE System.

For Re-Certification:
1. Go to the following link to access the TN Go-DBE System https://tn.diversitysoftware.com/vendorstart.asp
2. A copy of the most recent Federal Tax return - including all schedules is required for all re-certifications. All documents must be uploaded and attached to the TN Go-DBE System.

Firms that provided an existing certification at the time of their initial certification by a certification agency, ex: Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) U. S. Small Business Administration, State Purchasing Councils, Uniform Certification Agency, Mid-South Minority Business Association or approved local certification, must provide a copy of their current certification with the above mentioned agencies at the time of renewal.

Note:  Firms that have allowed their certification with Go-DBE to lapse or expire must complete a new certification application. A complete list of documentation must be provided in order to renew firm that have allowed their certification to expire. Provide a copy of your most recent tax return and a copy of your existing certification with another certification agency (if applicable) in order to renew certification with Go-DBE.
