12 Days of Giving

In partnership with the First Lady’s Tennessee Serves initiative, the First Lady is launching the 12 Days of Giving campaign to provide opportunities for Tennesseans to make a difference across the state and support various nonprofits this holiday season.

The 12 Days of Giving begins on Giving Tuesday, December 3, and will feature a different nonprofit and a unique call to action for the 12 following weekdays. Below are the highlighted organizations:

2024 12 Days of Giving

Day One

Morgan Scott Project

Serves the needs of the elderly, disabled, and unemployed in Scott and Morgan Counties to give support, enable people to help themselves, and break the cycle of poverty.

DONATE personal hygiene items to support low-income families in rural East Tennessee through the Morgan Scott Project.

Day Two

My Bag My Story

Works to improve foster care in Tennessee by providing high quality backpacks to foster children to elevate their sense of dignity and self-worth.

SUPPORT children in foster care by purchasing or donating a bag from My Bag My Story for your loved ones this Christmas. For every bag purchased, one bag will be donated to a foster child in need.

Day Three

One by One Ministries

Offers hope, care, and friendship to pregnant and new moms through mentoring, parent education, and overall support.

VOLUNTEER to be a mentor through One by One Ministries to care for and support new and expectant mothers. You can also become a prayer partner by praying for mentors and the women they serve.

Day Four

Core Services of Northeast Tennessee

Supports individuals with intellectual and development disabilities through a variety of services in the greater Johnson City area.

ENSURE those with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to make their dreams a reality through donating financially to the Kathy Wilbanks Memorial Recreation Fund through Core Services of Northeast Tennessee.

Day Five

YAIPak Outreach

Provides support, comfort, and resources to meet the needs of those often neglected including homeless individuals, foster children and families, veterans, and those impacted by disasters.

DONATE items to help and vulnerable individuals in Middle Tennessee through YAIPak’s Amazon Charity wish list, or become a warehouse volunteer to help sort donated items.

Day Six

Golden Cross Senior Ministries

Enhances the quality of life for seniors through care, companionship, and kindness to ensure that the golden years are a time of shared joy and shared burdens.

HELP provide companionship and comfort and enhance the quality of life for older Tennesseans by donating to Golden Cross Senior Ministries.

Day Seven

McNabb Center

Supports those struggling with mental health and substance use through a compassionate approach of care from infancy through adulthood.

CREATE a brighter future for families in East Tennessee by volunteering at the McNabb Center’s special events throughout the year or supporting their impactful mission financially.

Day Eight

Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition

Works to rescue, restore, and resource women and children from human trafficking and addiction.

BECOME a volunteer with Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition to care for survivors of human trafficking and support them as they become survivors and, ultimately, thrivers.

Day Nine

Isaiah 117

Provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement.

USE your time and talents to volunteer at one of Isaiah 117's locations across Tennessee to love on foster children, organize donations, or care for local child welfare service officers and caseworkers.

Day 10

Family Promise of Roane County

Helps homeless children and their families by providing food, shelter, and support services to help each family find safe and sustainable housing.

SUPPORT families transitioning from homelessness to housing by donating a Welcome Home kit containing home essentials through Family Promise of Roane County.

Day 11

Hopeworks

Provides opportunities for sustainable work through education and lifelong services to eliminate poverty and empower Memphians with work and hope in Jesus Christ.

SUPPORT Hopeworks and their efforts to empower Memphians, eliminate poverty, and secure sustainable work through education and lifelong services for individuals in West Tennessee.

Day 12

Catholic Charities of Middle TN

Supports 26,000+ vulnerable neighbors in Middle Tennessee annually to aid in housing stability, hunger relief, disaster recovery, and more.

DONATE your time or resources to help Catholic Charities of Middle TN provide emergency assistance, counseling, and job training to restore dignity and foster self-reliance.

Day 13

 Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief

Provides resources through First Lady Maria Lee’s Tennessee Serves initiative in an effort to encourage Tennesseans to help and support their East Tennessee neighbors impacted by Hurricane Helene.

SUPPORT Tennesseans impacted by Hurricane Helene through donating to disaster relief funds or volunteering with nonprofits in your area.
