Crissy understands and agrees that the family plays an essential role in a child’s education. School-age children spend 70% of their time outside of a school building.
Recent TCAP scores show that we have room to improve literacy rates in Tennessee. In 2011, only 43.9% of 3rd graders in Tennessee scored proficient or above in reading.
