Current Research in Tennessee Archaeology (CRITA)

The Tennessee Division of Archaeology co-sponsors the annual Current Research in Tennessee Archaeology (CRITA) event with Middle Tennessee State University to promote knowledge and understanding of Tennessee's archaeological heritage. The event is typically held on a Saturday in late January and consists of a full day of presentations on recent research in Tennessee archaeology. The event is free and open to the public. The preceding day is reserved for the annual meeting of the Tennessee Archaeological Advisory Council as well as the annual business meeting of the Tennessee Council for Professional Archaeology
