TDEC Cancels Workshops for Parks and Recreation Grants
TDEC’s Division of Recreation Educational Services is canceling the 2020 Parks and Recreation Grants Application Workshops due to current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Gov. Bill Lee and the Tennessee Department of Health.
Workshops will be rescheduled at a later time. Application deadlines will be adjusted based on the workshop dates and a time frame from application workshop to application deadline will be established for the 2020 cycle that is similar to those from the 2018 and 2016 grant cycles. Once workshops are rescheduled, they will be publicized in the same way they were initially publicized for the 2020 cycle.
Workshops were originally scheduled for March 24 in Jackson, March 25 in Farragut and April 1 in Shelbyville to assist communities in the grant application process for the Local Parks and Recreation Fund, the Land and Water Conservation Fund, and the Recreational Trails Program.
