The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Oil and Gas Program (OGP), will be conducting a one-day Site Coordinator Training, which is open to any member of the public.
The Site Coordinator Training covers the entirety of the Rules of the Oil and Gas Program and applicable Water Resources’ regulations. The goal is to ensure that designated personnel have an understanding of:
- regulatory requirements for constructing, operating and closing a well location
- how to protect the environment and water resources
- what to do in the event of an emergency
- necessary reporting requirements
Training will be conducted in a classroom at the Knoxville Environmental Field Office from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. Presenters will be the OGP staff, including the Supervisor and Field Inspectors, and a member of the Division of Water Resources to discuss Aquatic Resource Alteration Permits.
Attendees will receive a hard copy of the training materials for their use and reference.
