Tennessee Teacher Advisory Council
The Tennessee Teacher Advisory Council (TAC) is comprised of exceptional educators from across the state who serve the department for one year as leaders, ambassadors, advisors, and champions. Over the course of the service year, TAC members meet monthly as a group to provide feedback on department initiatives, policies, and resources.
Educators are identified for the TAC from Tennessee’s educator recognition program awardees. Each year, the TAC is comprised of 12-20 educators representing a diverse range of grade levels, subject areas, and experience.
The Tennessee Teacher Advisory Council aims to provide opportunities for exceptional educators to exercise their leadership skills and expand their influence while remaining in the classroom.
