PBS Teaching Tennessee

Through a continued partnership with the state’s PBS stations, Tennessee students will have access to daily educational content all summer through the Summer Learning Series.

Starting June 1, all six Tennessee PBS stations will offer high quality educational programming for grades K-3, weekdays from 10 a.m. –12 p.m. CT, through June and July.  The Summer Learning Series will feature PBS LearningMedia programming that has been specifically chosen for a continued focus on early literacy and math, aligned to Tennessee standards. Each of these programs also have teacher, family, and student resources available online.  

Summer Learning Series will be available on all six PBS stations:

Teaching Tennessee Resources: Student Packets and Teacher Lesson Plans

Teaching Tennessee classroom lesssons for 1st-8th grade students can be found on the department's YouTube page. All 320 lessons have companion teacher lesson plans and student packets.

The following lessons and videos have been designed for review and practice. They are intended to support students during the time of extended school closure. The department recognizes that students will have limited practice support and activities have been designed to reinforce the lesson rather than extend the learning in the lesson.
