TN Pathways Certification
The Tennessee Pathways Certification recognizes high schools that have developed clear and guided pathways for their students that are built upon partnerships among K-12, postsecondary education, and employers.
The certification is a school-level distinction that recognizes high school pathways with a defined labor market need, a progression of high school coursework that includes early postsecondary opportunities, and a series of work-based learning experiences with at least one employer partner. High-quality pathways accelerate progress toward a postsecondary credential thus increasing student postsecondary success and easing the transition from K-12 into higher education and the workforce. The certification is designed to help schools boost the number of Ready Graduates. More information about the certification, including benefits of applying, is available.
The application templates can be found in the LEA Document Library of ePlan.
Several new documents have been created to support districts in their application to certify high school pathways.
- Application guide: this document provides districts with the information needed for each question of the application as well as recommended resources to consult when crafting responses.
- Application rubric: this rubric provides districts with how each section of the application will be scored for each high school pathway.
The documents below provide districts with a model application to serve as a guide for how to write a strong application for a high school pathway.
