In May 2017, the State Board of Education passed the new Strategic Compensation Policy 5.600 that provides greater clarity on the qualifications for differentiated pay plans pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. §49-3-306(h), which requires districts to create and implement differentiated pay plans.
Differentiated Pay Process for 2019-20
The submission process for the 2019-20 differentiated pay process is now available. Districts should submit their plans electronically using the 2019-20 Differentiated Pay Plan submission form. Submission includes:
- 2019-20 Differentiated Pay Plan
- Implementation update on 2018-19 Different Pay Plan (based on payouts to teachers during the 2018-19 school year)
- 2019-20 Salary Schedule (upload in excel format)
