2018 Tennessee Educator Survey

The Tennessee Educator Survey is an annual way for the department of education to collect feedback from the educators we serve, and provides valuable information on what's working, what's not, and where we can improve. More than 38,000 educations participated in last year’s survey – we shared these results via the 2017 survey report and the survey results website which allows users to review state, district, and school level results in greater depth.

The 2018 survey is now open. We have sent personalized invitations to all teachers, administrators, and certified staff that are listed in the TN Compass and Tennessee Education Information System databases. Educators who have not received a survey invitation may access our troubleshooting portal and request that their link be resent to their preferred email address. Any further questions about the administration of this survey should be directed to the Tennessee Education Research Alliance (TERA) at

The survey will close on Friday, April 20, but we encourage educators to participate early so they are eligible for our weekly drawings. Information about lottery winners, as well as regular response rate updates, will be posted to this page every Monday and Thursday afternoon through the duration of the survey window.
