2021 Tennessee Educator Survey
The Tennessee Educator Survey (TES) is the most important annual survey used to understand the experience of educators across Tennessee. Each year, the department and Tennessee Education Research Alliance (TERA) gather this information to empower stakeholders and decision-makers across the state to better meet the needs of teachers. Over 37,000 educators participated in last year’s survey. Results were shared via the survey brief Tennessee Educator Survey: 2020 Overview and the survey results website, which allows users to review state, district, and school level results in greater detail.
The 2021 survey is now open. We sent personalized survey links to all teachers, administrators, and certified staff that are listed in TNCompass. Educators who have not received a survey invitation may access our troubleshooting portal and request that their link be sent again to their preferred email address.
The survey will close on Friday, April 23. Schools that reach at least 65 percent overall participation by the end of the survey window become eligible for one of five staff appreciation grants of $5,500.
