Community Homes

DIDD provides residential community Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) at homes that provide 24-hour support and maintain the physical, intellectual, social and emotional capabilities of people supported. These homes are located communities throughout the state. The homes meet all applicable federal and state code requirements for ICF/IID homes, are wheelchair accessible and have the added safety measure of fire sprinkler systems.

While providing daily services and supports, state employees are responsible for ensuring the daily health, safety and welfare of people supported. The services typically provided include personalized care, self-help training, ambulating, communication and socialization skills, intensive care for personalized habilitation training in self-help, language development, sensory stimulation and motor skills.
