Behavior Services
DIDD supports the practice of Applied Behavior Analysis in conjunction with positive behavior supports so that individuals have the opportunity to experience greater independence and an improved quality of life, free of challenging behavior. Behavior analysts enlist the help of members of the person’s network of support to accomplish these aims. Working with family members and support staff, behavior analysts provide strategies and training to change the way others interact with the person supported. Behavior analysts also work in an interdisciplinary fashion with other professionals such as therapists, primary care providers, nurses, psychiatrists, and psychologists to ensure that the person receives comprehensive and integrated services.
