Deputy Chief of Staff
Pierce Beckham received his Bachelors of Arts in History, Masters in Social Work and Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan. Specializing in macro-level social work and public interest law, he came to work for the Department of Children’s Services in 2007. He has specialized in Child Protective Services and shifted to CPS Investigations when the Multiple Response System was implemented. Starting as a Case Manager in rural West Tennessee, he served as the CPS Specialist for the Mid-Cumberland Region, Regional Investigations Director and Deputy Senior Director in the Office of Child Safety before moving to work agency-wide as the Director of System Integration and Innovation. He has continued his education with a Legal Masters Degree in Child and Family Law from the University of Loyola School of Law in Chicago and currently serves as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for DCS.
