T.O. Fuller State Park

Site Directions: From I-55, take exit 9 and follow signs directing you to Riverport Drive off of W. Mallory Avenue. Follow Riverport Drive to the park (appx. 3-4 miles).

Site Description: The 1138 acre site is mostly forested with mature stands of upland hardwoods except where developed recreational facilities are present. The area contains good examples of loess bluff hardwood habitat.

Wildlife to Watch: 
Site is a good location to observe forest birds. In summer, Mississippi Kites can be seen flying around the state park. Killdeer often concentrate on the ball fields.

Site History: 
The park was named after Dr. Thomas O. Fuller who spent his life empowering and educating African-Americans during the late 1800's and early 1900's.
