Deer Management in Tennessee

Draft 5-Year Plan

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is currently considering public comments submitted to the agency regarding it’s 5-year plan for deer management in Tennessee.

The Agency has undergone a comprehensive and inclusive process to develop a strategic plan for Tennessee’s Deer Management Program. The planning process, which began more than a year ago, has been very inclusive of key stakeholders, including commissioners, agency partners, hunters, farmers, and the general public.

30-day public comment period, ended on January 6, 2019. TWRA is now reviewing and considering all public comments and modifying the plan as appropriate. A final version of the plan will be made publicly available in late February.
