Getting a COVID-19 Vaccine
Tennessee health care providers are now administering COVID-19 vaccinations to Tennesseans as outlined in our COVID-19 Vaccination Plan. Tennessee’s phased approach to administering COVID-19 vaccines prioritizes those most at risk of illness and death from COVID-19. This page provides information on how Tennesseans may receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
Tennesseans will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination by the phase in which they fall. Categories included in the phases of Tennessee’s vaccination plan are as follows:

Age-based Vaccination for COVID-19
Tennessee is vaccinating anyone aged 75 and older, no matter what phase they may fall in, as they are at highest risk for serious illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Your county health department may be booking appointments to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to people age 75 and older. How Do I Get a COVID-19 Vaccination When It’s My Phase?
Tennessee counties will move through the phases of the COVID-19 Vaccination Plan at different times, based on the availability of vaccines. People qualifying for vaccination may be offered vaccine by their employer, through their local health department or through a partnering hospital.
