1 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:11.372
Okay, it's recording. Well while you're working with Andrea Jason, do you wanna kick us off and share a little bit of an update on this alumni effort?

2 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:00:11.372 --> 00:00:24.450
Yeah, so, you know, coming into volunteer Tennessee after spending ten years with the Maricos seemed like a good idea to put some energy into it. In a lot of ways, it's not.

3 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:00:24.450 --> 00:00:40.920
Super dissimilar from like the corporate social purpose network, which is finding people that have like a shared affinity and bringing them together. So far it's been pretty casual. We've had a few meetings where we'll get online, generally have, I don't know, maybe.

4 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:00:40.920 --> 00:01:00.920
1520 people that'll hop on that, have identified some people who have interest in leadership in the different regions that have helped support the preliminary organization of some like social events here. One didn't happen in Nashville because of weather.

5 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:01:00.920 --> 00:01:20.920
And then another one, the one in Memphis is probably not gonna happen either because the person coordinating it is in Jackson, the the other people have kind of came on after her are all in Memphis and they don't want to go to Jackson. So there's gonna be some reconciliation in that area, but there's people in those areas.

6 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:01:20.920 --> 00:01:40.920
They're interested and in East Tennessee we have one this Saturday and it looks like it's gonna come together and I'll probably go out there with my kids and stop in, take a few pictures, that kind of thing. And for the next month we're looking to organize around some kind of volunteer events. You know, this is kind of feeding back into the Tennessee service portal.

7 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:01:40.920 --> 00:02:27.533
Identifying opportunities there, you know, the, the alarms don't have to like coordinate or design it. They just need to pick one and be like, we're gonna go to this and then collectively do that and and we've set a monthly meeting time, which is the 1st Friday at, don't know the exact hour, but it'll be in the newsletter coming out and except for this month because the 1st Friday kind of like it like bumps up against 4th of July. So people aren't gonna attend it. But it's going good, got some energy around it and, you know, you chip away at it and you build until it gets where you want to go.

8 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:02:27.533 --> 00:02:46.260
Thanks Jason. Any questions for Jason comments? I I'll throw one out there and it's a two parts not directly related but inspired by what you just talked about. Have we ever or have we considered if we haven't?

9 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:02:46.260 --> 00:03:06.260
Trying to pull together all of the sub license serves groups, even if it's just a call. Cause like at this point I don't know if i've ever had FaceTime. I've met a few of them just like organically because we end up at a conference or something together, but is there value in getting some of those people just even if it's just a virtual call?

10 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:03:06.260 --> 00:03:32.973
To just, here's updates, here's where we're at, some ideas sharing on some sort of a consistent basis. I'm not saying it has to be monthly, I'm not even saying it has to be quarterly, right? But is there some some value in just getting those people on a call? There's been a lot of changes in the galaxy digital space. I think there's been a lot of changes in your all staffing space, and I'm not even sure all those people know all those things and how to maximize. So that's probably my, have we ever done that? Is there value in doing that? That's probably my question.

11 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:03:32.973 --> 00:03:57.050
Yes, we have done it, but it has been a while. I mean it was kind of early days when we were trying to figure out, you know, which, which volunteer centers wanted to be part of the network and and we may have had, we may have had one since then, but we had a couple early on. And then we have had, I mean, this is not the same.

12 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:03:57.050 --> 00:04:22.160
But we have had, kind of information sessions for, new volunteer or not new volunteer centers, but volunteer centers that were interested in joining the network cause we've had, you know, a couple kind of call for proposal type things to add new folks. So yes, we've done it before. Have it's been a while, is there value? Probably.

13 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:04:22.160 --> 00:04:33.306
J and Jason may, I don't know Jason if you feel too new to be able to say say anything to that but jump in.

14 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:04:33.306 --> 00:04:49.169
What I will say is that me and Candice have spoken a lot about, the conferences like an intuitive convening point because we're already bringing people together and just being real thoughtful about kind of all of our constituencies and how we can kind of.

15 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:04:49.169 --> 00:05:09.169
Pull them together with intention around space, you know, like America for alarms has always been a constituency, but we haven't been really active in engaging them, but maybe by like building some capacity around that going up to the conference next year, we can have, you know, an America alarms constituency or maybe even current members maybe protect.

16 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:05:09.169 --> 00:05:42.649
Participate at higher numbers and then for the sub licenses of Tennessee serves, maybe just like as we're like thinking about who we're reaching out to and telling people about this being like you are part of this network, a lot of times we do affinity a lot of conferences do affinity groupings, so that would be like a really good opportunity if there was a way to identify like as people register, what kind of groupings they affiliate with and just to let them know or maybe even have a space where we can hold it so at certain times people can do that cause I.

17 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:05:42.649 --> 00:05:48.332
Now we've done America groupings like that at the conference and just yeah.

18 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:05:48.332 --> 00:05:52.667
Okay, that's helpful. This maybe totally unrelated, but I.

19 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:05:52.667 --> 00:06:39.697
I signed up for the points of light conference in Washington DC. They wanted to charge me $800 to attend for like three days, but I told them I'm I'm signing up as a volunteer and they kept sending me bill. And then the day before the conference, they said ok you can come as a volunteer. And so there was NO charge. Well, it's too late to go to Washington. But there's I did sign up for their app, so I'm getting all kinds of very interesting and and very pertinent information from that conference about volunteerism from across the country and the different things they're doing. So when I get the opportunity I'll share some of those newsletters I've been getting. I really wish I was there to to do it but that was very it seems to be very informative conference.

20 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:06:39.697 --> 00:06:59.899
Thank you. Yeah, like I said, I think it would be, that's something that we want to look into. I think it would be helpful again I don't know if that's something you would own Jason or somebody else or if that belongs with the committee. I don't know, but something to think about, I just know is putting my day job hat on, obviously the platform here in northeast Tennesssee is like running the ship, like it's, it's connected to everything and where we've invested.

21 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:06:59.899 --> 00:07:30.070
There's a lot of resources we've hired staff and we've done and I feel, I would say I would perceive some of our partners in the region outside of our region probably feel disconnected, they feel connected with each other, but once you get to like knocked still, they're like, we don't know what's happening, but it's supposed to be part of a statewide network, so it's like, it shouldn't be happening in a silo. So whatever we can do to support that, I think would be great. Again don't know what that looks like, maybe the conference is the right field. I think that's it's a great idea. So just wanted to throw that out there. Ok, Letifa, you want to talk about CSP, thanks Jason.

22 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:07:30.070 --> 00:07:48.389
Super quick update, Nathan already shared briefly Andrea. We have the event tomorrow, this is exciting. Jason's stepped into his full power with that as in working on CSP events and community engagement.

23 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:07:48.389 --> 00:08:08.389
And so that will be our 1st event in the East Tennessee area. We have a, we had about 50 folks that we'd initially had a goal of and that was like the amount of for capacity, and so we have around that right now, very diverse group, like probably about 30 csr's.

24 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:08:08.389 --> 00:08:36.679
With a mix of staff, of course, here and commissioners. Tracy Vandervate will be there and also Wade Monday I think we talked about this last time Wade Monday Bridgeton America, of course he's gonna be the chair coming up and Jahari Matthews at the Titans will be our vice chair starting in five days. So their term together starts for the next two years in July.

25 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:08:36.679 --> 00:08:56.849
And, they will be prioritizing. I know that emergency disaster response is one of the things that they want to be thinking about and so we have those discussions coming up and then the internal VT team will chat with.

26 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:08:56.849 --> 00:09:16.849
Don, of course, to assess what that looks like for the network. Yeah, I think that is what we have in the queue for the next couple of months. What we'll also be doing, of course, is trying to get as much information on the CSR landscape in Tennessee so getting out.

27 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:09:16.849 --> 00:09:40.709
That survey, thinking through ways to get that information out, in other ways outside of just like our newsletter. And so if you all have any ideas, if you know anyone who should be a part of this, any thoughts on how we can continue to bring folks to the table? That is clearly the space for this group. I think that's all I have, Ethan.

28 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:09:40.709 --> 00:09:59.435
Thank you. Questions comments for Latifa around CSP? A lot of awesome stuff happening. Very excited tomorrow, very sad. I won't be there, but I am glad that you're gonna have a commissioner present so that's good. I know that was a question mark, so, I mean is did we determine is Nikki gonna be there or NO?

29 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:09:59.435 --> 00:10:16.939
If you let us know yesterday or sometime, time is weird this week, but maybe it was this morning, it wasn't this morning, but she let us know that she actually won't be there, and she's really sad about it. She's working on a video and or a note I let Wade know this morning.

30 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:10:16.939 --> 00:10:27.755
And we have the tools to be able to put up a video. She does go that route, but I will know that probably later in the day. Okay.

31 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:10:27.755 --> 00:10:34.891
Thank you. And do we and you may have said this, I just missed it. What is our number for tomorrow? Where did we land? Cause I think it closed Friday, right? Our registration.

32 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:10:34.891 --> 00:10:38.749
I did I apologize. Jason, I think you might have the, I don't.

33 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:10:38.749 --> 00:10:42.635
Yeah, it's it's at about 45.

34 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:10:42.635 --> 00:10:45.090
And we've had a.

35 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:10:45.090 --> 00:11:01.193
A few others funnel in after and then we had, you know, one or two that were like I can't make it, but I've also had plenty of people reach out and be like, Oh, I'm so excited to be there or I have a question or can I bring another friend or so excited to meet you, so there's good energy around it.

36 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:11:01.193 --> 00:11:25.889
That is awesome. Well, thank you both for your work on this. I know it's, again, the 1st 1st big event in East Tennessee glad that it's it's coming into fruition, and i'm glad that there's interest. I think that's always you can plan the greatest event in the world, but if nobody's there it's like so I'm so glad that you all have a lot of interest and and this is exciting. So good. Thanks for thanks for that. Final comments for Jason Orlatiff on either of the things they talked about or questions.

37 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:11:25.889 --> 00:11:46.788
Any other just broad staff updates? Jim, Candice, anything you all feel like you want to share or need feedback on before we jump into state plan stuff? Okay, well with that, before we, oh, Candice, you unmuted, you have something?

38 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:11:46.788 --> 00:12:02.339
I Which I only about five people actually submitted some places or some things to do for the roadshow.

39 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:12:02.339 --> 00:12:22.339
So, and they're just sort of, it's a little bit of everything. I didn't know that there was a Rhyndstone sets in old City Knoxville. So there are a lot of different things that that are happening on here. So just wanted to just put a pen here that we do have some things that, that some suggestions.

40 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:12:22.339 --> 00:12:46.534
Questions from, from some of our commissioners, but I think we can talk about that maybe off offline on what that looks like narrowed down, how we would like to proceed with having a presence there, but that was the only update that I have, but of the ones who submitted, although only about five or six submitted them, I have about 30 suggestions.

41 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:12:46.534 --> 00:12:48.556
Oh, that's awesome, that's awesome.

42 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:12:48.556 --> 00:13:07.118
Because they absolutely gave some great, great, great suggestions, so, I just wanted to let you know that we do have some people who are interested in helping on the committee and we have the people who are interested in actually being at the event. So, thank you to all the commissioners that suggested it and I will send this out today if if you like.

43 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:13:07.118 --> 00:13:28.494
Yeah, NO, I think that would be great, and then, yeah, and if we, if it makes sense, if you have some folks that have marked, and let me know if this makes sense to you. If you've had some folks marked if they're interested in helping to lead and plan, if it's worth us trying to pull together a, a meeting or a call with just those folks and really getting into the weeds if that's the path, whatever makes the most sense in terms of getting us moving, so.

44 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:13:28.494 --> 00:13:43.806
I think that works. I'll I'll send out a poll that we can get on because I think with more than one or two commissioners we may have to. It just can't be a right gym. It just can't be a casual meeting of the minds. Like we have to actually.

45 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:13:43.806 --> 00:14:13.574
Yeah put some yeah unfortunately, any gathering of two or more commissioners is is considered a, a public meeting and so we would need to do kind of the public notice and the scheduling and all that and unfortunately also use Webex instead of teams. Don't see me Webex cause this is a public meeting right now, but.

46 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:14:13.574 --> 00:14:23.633
You're full of good news Jim. No, that that's yeah that's great. If you don't care to do that, Candice, and if I need to do anything, just let me know, but I think that sounds good.

47 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:14:23.633 --> 00:14:30.697
Well, I'll organize it and maybe we can have a targeted date of doing one road show before the year is over.

48 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:14:30.697 --> 00:14:53.789
Yeah, I think that's great. I think that sounds amazing, and that'll help, and that's a good comment cause that'll help inform our state service plan. I will make a note of that, that was one of the questions I wrote down how many I'm gonna put one per Candice. No service. Okay, very good. Thank you, Candace. Ok, before we jump into the state service plan, I think we're doing good on time cause that's really our only other big thing. Wanted to.

49 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:14:53.789 --> 00:15:11.639
Share a couple of my own thoughts and I shared some of this via email with Latifa at a very high level, but this this particular meeting has or committee, has historically run pretty casually. We haven't really done like formal.

50 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:15:11.639 --> 00:15:31.639
Roll calls or kept minutes and traditional sense, things like that, and I think that's worked fine for the most part. I also think though that we're probably at a point where, just due to engagement and all the things that makes sense to try to up it a little bit and to be a little bit more thoughtful and intentional, and accountable to ourselves.

51 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:15:31.639 --> 00:15:51.639
Around some of those things. So having said that, what I would like to do is moving forward, not today, today again, pretty casual. Moving forward for this committee I think I'm gonna try to make it follow a little bit more of a formal structure, not as formal as a big commission meeting, but actually doing a roll call and actually having somewhat some formal minutes. I know that.

52 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:15:51.639 --> 00:16:11.639
I believe staff probably keeps track of who's on committee meetings behind the scenes, I don't know, but I think on the call doing it out loud publicly, I think there's some level of accountability and transparency that comes with that that I think is valuable. So that is going to be my intent moving forward. Really for two reasons. One, again, that accountability and transparency I think.

53 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:16:11.639 --> 00:16:31.639
That really matters, and I know engagement has been a challenge, not just for this committee, but for the entire commission and I think formalizing some things and just ensuring that we're saying some things out loud, I think does it's little but it matters. So, starting at our next meeting that is gonna be my intent is that we'll run it like a little bit more like a traditional meeting. We'll do a roll call. We'll.

54 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:16:31.639 --> 00:17:00.289
Do the things and I'll manage all that. But, just wanted to share that with you all. That is my intent going forward. And 2nd reason on top of that is I want to be mindful of you all. Everybody on the screen, everybody on the commission are some extremely busy people, and I know that. We've got a lot of commitments, we've got a lot of irons in the fire that is not unique to anybody on the screen or on the commission broadly or the staff. And I want to make sure that if we're gonna spend an hour or more together, that it was worth your time and that.

55 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:17:00.289 --> 00:17:20.289
That we were thoughtful about what we talked about. We were intentional, it was action focused and it's not just a meeting to have a meeting. I know we've had some of those meetings before, and that can be challenging, so starting the next meeting again this meeting we're gonna focus on the site service plan, but that is my intent that will be a little bit more thoughtful and direct to just try to maximize.

56 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:17:20.289 --> 00:17:54.589
And offer a little bit of accountability. So just wanted to share that with you all. I hope that is ok because that is my plan. That's what we're doing. Cause I think that'll be valuable, it'll be valuable for me and hopefully valuable for you all as well. So any questions about that? Okay. With that, I think we're gonna jump into the state service plan or our annual plan specifically for the committee. Latita just dropped a link to the, to the live document that you all can see that's in the SharePoint, so hopefully you all are able to open that if you've got access to a computer.

57 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:17:54.589 --> 00:18:15.649
But that is available there. One thing to note is the document that we're looking at. This is not what it will look like on the actual spreadsheet. If you were just in the communications committee meeting, you have seen the actual spreadsheet or familiar with the spreadsheet. We just thought it kind of being in this format and the style was a little bit easier to process and talk through and then Latith.

58 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:18:15.649 --> 00:18:35.649
Has agreed whatever we land on, she will then translate it into a way that aligns with the spreadsheet. So for this particular conversation, my recommendation is gonna be, I don't want us to get too hung up on the terminology. I don't want us to get us to get us too hung up on like the formatting because this is not what it will look like, right? It'll get, it'll get transferred.

59 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:18:35.649 --> 00:18:55.019
Over to the actual annual state plan spreadsheet with the categories and the inputs and the outputs and the dates and the responsibilities. So we don't need to be, I don't want us to spend too much time thinking about that. So really focused on content, the meat and potatoes is what we're really talking about. What are the outcomes, what are the goals, what are the timelines? Latita then on the back end will make it.

60 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:18:55.019 --> 00:19:14.732
Pretty and fit the other form. So does that work latifat? Does that sound right? Okay perfect. Thank you, thank you. So what I'm actually going to do is am I able to share? I am. This is wonderful. I'm gonna share my screen. Are you all able to see what's on my screen?

61 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:19:14.732 --> 00:19:16.918
Yes. Okay, perfect.

62 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:19:16.918 --> 00:19:34.399
Awesome, so we'll just chat through this. Again, don't don't stress too much about the labels and the formatting. This is not what it will look like in its final form. Want to focus a little bit more on the content. We've got about 40 ish minutes, 35 40 min left, so what I think we will do is let's.

63 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:19:34.399 --> 00:19:53.009
Let's go point by point. There's only six broad goals on here. I wanna make sure that we're in alignment around those, but I specifically want us to really focus in on these sections of each goal, right? What is the actual goal itself? What is the timeline? What are we trying to achieve? What is the output from those?

64 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:19:53.009 --> 00:20:11.114
And since we drafted this several months ago I will say there have already been some changes in terms of like road shows some changes around conference, so some of this stuff maybe a little bit dated and we're gonna have to refresh it. So with that, Latifa, are you taking notes? Am I taking notes on changes or what does that look like?

65 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:20:11.114 --> 00:20:13.933
I've caught you. Okay, perfect. Thank you.

66 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:20:13.933 --> 00:20:29.399
Thank you. So let's just dive right in. Let's just start with this 1st one. So volunteered tennessee roadshow. We were just talking about it a little bit. This obviously lead initiative from this committee really focusing in on us having a boots on the ground in person.

67 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:20:29.399 --> 00:20:49.399
Presence throughout the state a chance to meet part existing partners to meet potential new partners to just get brand awareness, initiative awareness out there in the community. One thing to note when we drafted this, some context is I believe when this was drafted, we initially were still operating under last year.

68 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:20:49.399 --> 00:21:09.399
1st model for the road show, which was truly like larger scale one off events entirely planned and coordinated by us. It's not to say we might not still have some of those, but we have since transitioned to a little bit more of an organic model of, it could also just be us having a presence at some existing spaces.

69 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:21:09.399 --> 00:21:29.399
So Candice's comment just a minute ago, we sent out a survey, and some commissioners have filled it out and they've offered some recommendations, but are there festivals? Are there events that we just need to be at? It could be a one off or it could be where we just have a booth or a table or a presence. But we've shared, we've sent that out. We've gotten some feedback. We'll continue to update that.

70 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:21:29.399 --> 00:22:03.919
Really view the road show not as again, big high level events that we've planned across the state, but really more of where do we have a presence at various locations across the state where people are already gonna be. So that's the context of when we say road show what we're talking about. Could be tabling, could be a presentation, could just be us physically being at an event. But with that, again, we've already kind of aligned this with some goals that are in the state service plan. I feel like that's pretty straightforward. I really want us to spend some time talking through this section right here, quantity, timeline, and output.

71 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:22:03.919 --> 00:22:23.459
Candice has already offered our 1st piece of commentary, so, so I'll echo what she said a few minutes ago is, and one of the questions I had written down is what is our goal number? What is our goal number of engagements or activations as related to the roadshow between now and the end of the year? Candace throughout the number one.

72 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:22:23.459 --> 00:22:42.792
Other thoughts or feedback on that? So I'm gonna start us off there cause I think that's a big question. How many of these are we doing this year? And because I'm screen sharing, I can't really see hands, so I'm gonna trust that you will unmute yourself and you have permission to do that?

73 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:22:42.792 --> 00:22:56.817
I know you just mentioned it but you when we're talking talking roadshow, I know I understand that's flexible, but do we have a set number of people that would attend to count it as a roadshow?

74 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:22:56.817 --> 00:23:15.839
I think, if I can answer that question, then Jason might have an answer to that. I think it is going to depend. Again, if we're doing an event that's we're planning, we're coordinating and it's about us and we're inviting people in. Let's say we were setting up at a chamber of commerce and we said, Hey drop by and meet volunteer tennessee. Obviously that's one.

75 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:23:15.839 --> 00:23:45.248
Type of events that might happen and obviously you want a little bit of a critical mass for that to warrant being successful. I think what we envision probably doing more of though is what does it look like maybe to have volunteer tennessee represented at Ryanstone Fest, which Candice just mentioned that takes place in Knoxville, right? To have a booth at an event, to have a presence at an existing gathering of nonprofits or of whatever that looks like. So, I think for the most we were just talking about this on Monday.

76 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:23:45.248 --> 00:24:18.909
During the friends of volunteered, I was asking, you know, what kind of events can, you know, I I just bought a new three new table cloths, you know, I want to do all we can as friends of volunteer Tennessee to to promote the initiatives of of of volunteer tennessee. So yeah. So if we've got events in mind, I'd like to know, I'd like to participate and see what the friends of volunteered members can do to participate as well. Very good. Thank you Jay.

77 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:24:18.909 --> 00:24:20.113
Andrea.

78 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:24:20.113 --> 00:24:38.099
Yeah, I think the road show can do, can be both. It can be something that we create or we just participate in something that's already happening in the area. I think that's a low lift and a little easier for us and we can use those table cloths that we wanna, get some good use out of. I don't know if we have.

79 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:24:38.099 --> 00:24:58.099
With the, to make it easier, I don't know if we have the grantees that we have, they can share events that they are putting on that we can actually maybe be a table monitor or table vendor at, and that might help us a little bit. But with all that being said, I think if we say for this year we do at least one and then our.

80 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:24:58.099 --> 00:25:05.086
Goal next year's maybe to do two. I think that's, that's probably the the best route to go.

81 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:25:05.086 --> 00:25:21.630
Thank you. So I'm definitely hearing lower number for our 1st year. One, one probably sounds like the number. Anybody, is anybody an advocate for needing to do more than that or do we feel like, let's get one under our belts and see where we're at?

82 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:25:21.630 --> 00:25:33.899
Well, if we I mean if we're counting just attending an event or setting up a table I think we can do more than one. Our question now on Monday with the friends was once we have a table.

83 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:25:33.899 --> 00:26:00.512
Oh, what kind of literature do we have and we we discussed that we don't really have any literature, but perhaps we can set up a QR codes for people to scan and answer their questions about what they're reading on their cell phones, but that's pretty, in my view, it's pretty straightforward. I mean, it's, it's not complicated to sit at a table and answer people's questions and be available if that counts as an event. Okay.

84 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:26:00.512 --> 00:26:11.729
So what I'm hearing, so I think setting a realistic goal, I've heard one, I also hear James recognizing, which I understand that if it's low hanging and we're just popping up in an event.

85 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:26:11.729 --> 00:26:31.648
And somebody's available, it may not be difficult. Is it fair to say that we're gonna do a minimum of one? And then when this group pulls together and they say actually we there's four realistic ones we think we could pull off, then, then they go that direction. But in terms of a goal, we want to do at least one. That doesn't mean we can't do more but we want to do at least one. Does that seem.

86 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:26:31.648 --> 00:26:36.073
That's reasonable, reasonable. Okay.

87 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:26:36.073 --> 00:26:51.499
Very good. So in terms of number of activations, our goal is one, if we do more, that's fine, but we wanna try at least one before the end of the year. Okay, very good. Thank you. The other follow up question to that, and it's really that 1st bullet point you see here on the screen, is around commissioner.

88 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:26:51.499 --> 00:27:11.499
Our engagement. Of course, when we 1st drafted this, we were operating into the assumption that these were big larger planned events that we coordinated and we were doing like one per division of the state, that sort of a thing. Now that we're talking more about like festival pop UPS and special events like that that don't require 50 people, right? You really only need one staff or one commissioner, maybe two.

89 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:27:11.499 --> 00:27:34.249
Is this still the goal? Or is the goal that every commissioner will engage in italy? Like what what is the goal? Is there a commissioner specific goal or is there not one at all? And that's ok too? And I am going to say this while people are thought thinking.

90 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:27:34.249 --> 00:27:57.195
Candice, Latifa Jason, I, I do invite your input into this conversation a little bit, because at the end of the day, if we end up doing a lot of festivals and things, sometimes it's just based off of geography, right? Like I could totally see Jason down there at the Rhymestone best, like it just cause he lives there, right? So I'm gonna warrant I'm gonna say, please, please offer your input as well. Don't feel like you have to stay muted.

91 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:27:57.195 --> 00:28:01.996
I am into attending Ryan Ryan Stone fest. I'll do it.

92 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:28:01.996 --> 00:28:03.705
But that's become our one.

93 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:28:03.705 --> 00:28:05.631
Let's do that.

94 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:28:05.631 --> 00:28:30.839
No, NO, but like, yeah, I think geography, could, could be a important factor in it and, I I I know I'm personally interested in getting out in the community and engaging in those ways, so I'm happy to go. I'm happy to go with a commissioner. I'm happy to, you know, that you talked about like Americap partnerships, things like that. There might be opportunities or like.

95 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:28:30.839 --> 00:28:47.819
Americap and volunteer Tennessee to be together and so like, you know, if I'm out there and I, I can talk about Americap funded programs and then if I'm there with a program director, the program director can talk about what they do and there's a lot of different interesting pairings. I, I.

96 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:28:47.819 --> 00:29:07.819
I hear the theme of commission engagement, a lot lately and it does seem like it would be prod that this would be a really good opportunity for commissioners to go out in the community to events that are kind of informal, that maybe they would have otherwise wanted to.

97 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:29:07.819 --> 00:29:12.848
To go to anyways, I don't know. Yeah.

98 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:29:12.848 --> 00:29:26.052
I mean because the way it's written there, I could show up at everyone. I'm on I'm on the commission, but is that really helping anything for the same person to keep showing up for each event? So Candice.

99 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:29:26.052 --> 00:29:44.659
If I could just offer just a small logistic point, I, whereas we would want all 25 of our commissioners to be there, I think it would also depend on the event where we are on how many people can be at that table tabling it, you know, in that perspective too. So I do want to put that out.

100 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:29:44.659 --> 00:30:17.239
Out there that it does depend on the event on, you know, how we're able to table and how many people were able to table, but I think it's realistic to think, you know, at least one commissioner, at least one staff member, and, and, but also with respect of we have commission meetings, corporate social purpose, outside activities that are, that are going on. So just offering this as an informal option, I think would be great and let's see what events we come across that we would like to participate in and then see how many people we can.

101 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:30:17.239 --> 00:30:20.815
Actually bring just some suggestion.

102 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:30:20.815 --> 00:30:53.959
So something that also might be kind of overlapping with communications. We talked a little bit about educating the the commission on like how to support socials and communications broadly. A piece of this is very communication centered and that it's about talking to the public about volunteer Tennessees programs. And I know I've I've spoken with different commissioners over the years that have different levels of comfort with different programs. Some feel like very aware of America, but some are less aware of America, so like maybe.

103 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:30:53.959 --> 00:31:13.959
As part of like a broader comms piece, that is supporting the strategic partnerships, there could be something around, I think in our last meeting we had talked about doing some kind of training maybe at the retreat or something about like how you can support socials, but maybe more broadly just talking about.

104 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:31:13.959 --> 00:31:34.469
Like how you might communicate about the different programs or answering questions about the different programs so that people can feel more comfortable cause I cause I could see that being a potential barrier. Like what if I show up to this thing and people are like, Oh man, you guys do America. Tell me about that and a person just doesn't feel.

105 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:31:34.469 --> 00:31:59.769
Well prepared. And to James's point about not having materials, sometimes the materials can kind of backfill that kind of like gap in awareness cause then if you're not like super aware of it, you can be like, I have this brochure or I have this piece of paper or this thing, but just, just, you know, maybe there's a comms contribution in terms of preparing people on how to talk about the different program.

106 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:31:59.769 --> 00:32:27.979
Very good. I'm gonna keep this moving forward, thanks Andrea and Candice seeing you all working at the working it out in the chat, conquer in the world. So what I think I'm hearing is what's on the screen is probably still accurate. It would be nice to have a commissioner representative at engagements, whatever that is, right? Recognize that we don't need 40, but it would be nice to have one there. So it sounds like that probably is realistic and can stay. It does sound like maybe that second bullet point.

107 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:32:27.979 --> 00:32:47.979
Correct me if i'm wrong, maybe is somewhat irre more of a moot point with this new model because if we're at public events, we're not right, like I'm not inviting, if you're at the Rhyndstone fest, right? Like we may do a poster or something that says, hey, we're here, come see us, but we're not like sending out like a list serve saying with like an invitation cause it's.

108 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:32:47.979 --> 00:32:53.573
Not a private event, right? Does that, is that accurate Jason? Does that second one now seem somewhat moot?

109 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:32:53.573 --> 00:33:05.669
I would say so when when I was seeing that I was thinking this is gonna be, I mean post on socials and be like, come see us at Ryinstone fast. Pictures of Ryinstone.

110 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:33:05.669 --> 00:33:07.114
It's in, yeah.

111 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:33:07.114 --> 00:33:09.411
Oh my god. I'm so excited about Rainstone.

112 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:33:09.411 --> 00:33:15.479
Yes yep got it got it I love it. It's a good example. So, ok, so what I'm hearing is.

113 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:33:15.479 --> 00:33:35.479
We want to do at least one, a minimum of one before the end of the year. We would like ideally any, whether we do one or 50 to have a commissioner representation at them. That could just be one or it could be five depends on what the event is, but we would love to have a commissioner representative representation at them. Ideally there's some sort of.

114 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:33:35.479 --> 00:33:55.479
Public invitation, which is what you just mentioned Jason, right? Which you would do as a part of your social media. Let's talk a little bit about let's jump down to this output portion. I think we've all kind of handed around it a little bit. What are some of the things that we don't currently have that we're gonna need to pull this off, right? So I've heard mention of resources, I've heard mention of education.

115 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:33:55.479 --> 00:34:25.229
For whoever might be working. I think both of those are probably accurate, right? People need to know what they're saying, they also need to know what they have to give them. Vendor fees if applicable, very good. Are there other items on that list that we're gonna need to workshop? Again, we don't have to workshop them on this call, but we need to know what they are, because those are things we need to address. So in my mind, those are probably tangible outputs that we're gonna have to create or navigate.

116 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:34:25.229 --> 00:34:46.634
So I heard education, I heard physical resources, and I heard from Candice there maybe some costs affiliated. Are there other items like, oh, we're gonna have to create something for this purpose? That it. I feel like most of it's pretty straightforward, right? Yeah.

117 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:34:46.634 --> 00:34:58.312
And I would say when creating things, will we have some type of swag for the table? We don't have the, you know, have the things that like make potentially a corporation might have, but something to leave behind.

118 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:34:58.312 --> 00:35:10.409
Yep, ok. That's good. So some sort of a, a gift or a yeah something memorable. The maybe the other last thing I would throw on there is, and I don't know what this looks like.

119 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:35:10.409 --> 00:35:30.409
The the practicality of we're talking about a large state and if there's an event in Knoxville and then there's another event in, you know, Jackson, and we got one banner, right? What does that look like, right? How does how does sharing of resources and materials.

120 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:35:30.409 --> 00:35:43.476
So that's something Jason we probably need to think about. I don't know what that looks like, right? How do people get access to If I'm in northeast Tennesssee and I randomly am, we agree that I'm gonna go to this event, how do I get the things even if we have the things, so.

121 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:35:43.476 --> 00:35:47.315
I mean we we we do have the trailers.

122 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:35:47.315 --> 00:35:49.569
Right there.

123 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:35:49.569 --> 00:35:53.939
They're kind of like regionally distributed, but.

124 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:35:53.939 --> 00:36:13.939
Yeah, also in terms of swag, I feel like we have constraints around what we can get with swag in terms of buying it. But what I would also say is we have a whole lot of partners, and it might be a matter of like, oh, well, if we're funding all these Americap programs and we're talking about Americap, if some of these programs.

125 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:36:13.939 --> 00:36:27.755
That they want to share with us. We can distribute that and we can talk about how they're a partner and then it had, it gives us physical things that might be interesting for people to take, but it doesn't have any like cost.

126 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:36:27.755 --> 00:36:31.814
Yep, got it like representing about showing up, I mean I'm.

127 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:36:31.814 --> 00:36:52.914
I've been to events where people just wear whatever. I mean I'm wearing my one shirt now. I mean if you go to event, it'd be nice if everybody's wearing the same thing or or represented cause it's hard sometimes it's hard to tell who's, who's on the panel and who's just wandering behind the the desk. So.

128 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:36:52.914 --> 00:37:04.949
That's, that's valid, and probably to your point too, like if let's say it is the middle of July and you're at an outdoor event honestly, it's probably a t shirt I don't even know if it's like.

129 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:37:04.949 --> 00:37:24.949
I mean, yeah, you could probably wear your short sleeve polo if you're comfortable in it, but at the end of the day it's like it's 94 so yeah there maybe some validity to what is just a really simple t shirt that just has a volunteer tennessee logo real big on the chest or the back, right? Like something real simple that isn't overly complicated, which again also has some financial.

130 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:37:24.949 --> 00:37:47.179
Costs. So I think that I think that's a good point James, thank you for saying that like who is this random stranger behind the table right now? Yes. Okay. Okay I'm gonna keep us moving forward. I feel like that's good. We've got a couple of hard goals and a couple of tangible things that we need to work through in terms of materials, logistics, but a goal is to achieve at least one before the end of the year.

131 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:37:47.179 --> 00:38:03.659
There and have at least one commissioner representative at that or any other one. So, ok. I'm gonna pull us down just a little bit. I'm in the sake of time for the sake of time, I'm probably going to lump together these next three points because they're.

132 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:38:03.659 --> 00:38:23.659
Actually the next four points because they're similar, but just in different arrays. So goal number two is around really identifying partners and making introductions, right? So we're really talking about connections, right? Who are players across the state that we as a commission need to be connected to? Regardless of what that connection is, if it's for cert, if it's.

133 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:38:23.659 --> 00:38:39.120
It's for CSP, if it's for conference, it's for Americap, but commissioners offering connections and points of contact at potential partners and players across the state. So that's what 2nd goal really pertains to. The 3rd goal.

134 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:38:39.120 --> 00:38:54.150
Is similar but a little bit more hands on, right? What does it look like for James to actually be on a call and to actively be facilitating a partnership, right? Like doing not just here's a name and a phone number and an email.

135 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:38:54.150 --> 00:39:14.150
But I'm actually helping to facilitate a new partnership, which is a little bit more hands on, a little bit more high touch, but again, really focused on connections. The 4th one is around financial and in kind support, but again, same general lens, right? Helping to foster some connections as it relates to sponsorships and donors.

136 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:39:14.150 --> 00:39:44.120
And then the 4th one, same thing but around CSP, around corporations and businesses, right? So really when you talk about goals, 234, and five, they're all really hinting at the same thing, which is, who are the connections or the people in your wheelhouse that in some way play a piece or could play a piece with the, with one of the commission's initiatives? How are we engaging those people? How are we getting that information or money or getting.

137 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:39:44.120 --> 00:40:06.420
Them to join the network depending on what it is. So all of those have kind of a similar goal. It's around connections and relationships. For all of these broadly, the reason I think there's value in maybe talking about them holistically is I think it may start to feel a little counterproductive if we try to set individual metric for each of them.

138 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:40:06.420 --> 00:40:22.740
Meaning right like James maybe able to bring to the table primarily just businesses, right? But there are three connections regardless if it's a CSP connection or a cert connection, right? Is there value in thinking a little bit more holistically of.

139 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:40:22.740 --> 00:40:54.217
Do commissioners each bring to the table three connections on an annual basis, and those connections could be financial, they could be business. They could be like there's some flexibility in what they are, right? It's not that you have to have three business, three financial because that probably seems unrealistic in my lens. What are y'all's thoughts on that? And that is just me talking out loud. Oh Jason, you've got thoughts I can tell.

140 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:40:54.217 --> 00:41:21.410
I think bringing extended network together around this work is gosh such a core function of strategic partnerships and you know and when you get new people at the table, I mean it just totally can shift the dynamic of what you're able to do, you know, you might, I mean just just going through the process of here recently with the corporate social purpose and reaching out to new people to come to this and talk.

141 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:41:21.410 --> 00:41:41.410
Talking to them and seeing them like, yeah, you know, we want to do this and it's like, who knew Aquam wants to be part of their, you know, you know, like just just unexpected opportunity comes from that. And I I think the more unexpected opportunity and puzzle pieces we have to work with, the better you know some people it might be like everyone.

142 "Jason Scott" (1750042368)
00:41:41.410 --> 00:41:59.112
You know is in the environmental sector, but within that sector there can be cross cutting themes. So like, yeah, just encouraging people to leverage the people that they're excited about introducing to this community, maybe less prescriptive.

143 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:41:59.112 --> 00:42:23.830
Okay, thank you Jason. Thanks Latifa for the note. On Latifa, if I can ask you, this is more of just a logistics question from your experience with CSP. I know early on in the network, when you were launching CSP, you kind of did this exercise with the core, with the, with the founders council originally of just getting everybody's contacts and connections kind of into some master spreadsheet.

144 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:42:23.830 --> 00:42:39.315
Sheets? How was that processed? Did it seem meaningful? Did it seem beneficial? Did it get where you wanted or did it seem like there was a better way to do it and it was complicated? What was your experience doing it that way, the way you all did it? Is it worth complicating? I guess that's my question.

145 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:42:39.315 --> 00:42:45.955
Sorry Nathan. I'm actually not fully understanding what you're acting. So I think early early on.

146 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:42:45.955 --> 00:43:04.900
Around corporate social purpose, like early early on when we were setting up the founders council, which is now the core, all the things. There was an effort we were pulling together just lists of contacts and names and remember there was like some spreadsheets and, and all those things around like, and I feel like lots of people were contributing to that.

147 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:43:04.900 --> 00:43:19.651
List. Did that work or was it not worth it or was it overwhelming or is there a better way to navigate getting people's My question is how do we get people's connections in a way that is efficient and meaningful and organized without creating a lot of work?

148 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:43:19.651 --> 00:43:28.500
That's many things. So one, it wasn't exactly that. Was it beneficial? Yes. What we did was beneficial, which is.

149 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:43:28.500 --> 00:43:48.500
That was the interview series. That was. That was us reaching out to different folks just to build the relationship so that way we could even have a poor. And so absolutely yes, we use that all the time when people reach out when Todd Gordon, from in and out came into the state, we were able to quickly connect him with.

150 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:43:48.500 --> 00:44:08.500
All these various folks because we had all the details from the last two years or not all the details, but we had some information. So beneficial yes, we have cleaned it up significantly from that initial interview series outreach and so it's a lot better now. Could it be better? I think absolutely because of course.

151 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:44:08.500 --> 00:44:28.500
So we don't have a CRM or something that would be easier. It was like a heavy lift? Absolutely yes, because it's a lot of data, but, you know, just to get partner information, I remember Andrea, I don't know if you remember recall when Nancy and Andrea were leading this effort for the communication.

152 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:44:28.500 --> 00:44:55.076
Not communications for the strategic partnerships committee. Folks were inputting into a spreadsheet and that seemed like a fairly not a heavy lift, like folks had to commit to adding five to ten individuals to this list that they would commit to tracking and outreach, you know, they would be we'd give them the materials, but they would be in charge of making that relationship and building that and connecting us and whatever if I'm understanding.

153 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:44:55.076 --> 00:44:59.430
That's helpful. No, that's correct. Yeah, and that was correct. And.

154 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:44:59.430 --> 00:45:22.893
And it, it, but it also just depends on you can have people put the information in there, but are they gonna actually be one to be responsible for connecting and following up and tracking, so for Western C I was fine because I knew many of these people but it could be just I've heard a name, I put it on the list, but I don't necessarily want to be the primary contact person. I want to pass it on to a Vontro Ten se staffer.

155 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:45:22.893 --> 00:45:51.330
Below case by case, ok, that's helpful, but just old school spreadsheet in a drive seemed to work fine, ok. I, my thoughts are, and I know we're short on time, my thoughts are maybe we take that approach a little bit again. What I am going to perhaps challenge again just speaking out loud on the the way that we currently have this written, and I think the way we discussed it initially was very centered around this committee.

156 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:45:51.330 --> 00:46:07.320
While I recognize this is a strategic partnerships committee and we're choosing to pursue some partnerships strategically, lots of commissioners have connections, even if they're not the ones necessarily pursuing them. So I think for in terms of the goals around these couple.

157 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:46:07.320 --> 00:46:25.890
These couple of areas on the the annual plan. I think I really want a list of connections and contacts from all of the commissioners. Doesn't mean they're necessarily the ones pursuing those things, right? But is it realistic to say every single commissioner will give us.

158 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:46:25.890 --> 00:46:54.894
Three contacts that are either offender, a corporation that might want to be joined CSP, might have any like it will touch one of our initiatives, right? Is there value in saying we want at least three names or five names? I don't know what the number is. From every commissioner, we then as a committee get to work with what to do with that information, right? But is, is there value in creating creating somewhat of that master list of people's connections beyond our committee? The thoughts on that?

159 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:46:54.894 --> 00:47:22.194
I think it's a very good idea. Untapped resources, just it's it's its own file untapped resources cause everybody runs into somebody who are at a conference and you hear about somebody and you know if somebody has good connections and could be very helpful and you just recommend that person like I never talk to that person at the conference, but this could be very helpful in the future.

160 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:47:22.194 --> 00:47:35.790
Yeah, I'm just thinking through this lens of being able to before planning an event, right? Candice is working on the conference. We use that as an example since you mentioned it James. She's scrolling through this spreadsheet and she says, oh, here's a business that looks like they might have an interest. Who knows that person? Oh.

161 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:47:35.790 --> 00:47:58.151
James does, let me let me reach out to James to see if he'll make an introduction, right? It's almost like a directory. Do we have that currently or something similar at all from like commission contacts, and that might be a Jim or Candice or Latifa question, but what do we have currently in terms of just connections to the commission or relationships commissioners have? Do we have anything like that?

162 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:47:58.151 --> 00:48:26.196
I don't think so, NO, I I don't think we have anything that would be even close to that. Okay. I mean it's I mean it's not if I, if I understand kind of what you're asking is it essentially who are the connections that commissioners have that they could potentially reach out to about various things related to the commission.

163 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:48:26.196 --> 00:48:27.116
Yeah ok.

164 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:48:27.116 --> 00:48:30.955
Which we don't really have, have anything like that.

165 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:48:30.955 --> 00:48:35.654
Okay, thank you. I'll just throw this out there if volunteer tennessees.

166 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:48:35.654 --> 00:48:41.674
Willing to pay for my membership in the in the local chamber of commerce. I'll make a lot of connections for you.

167 "Jim Snell" (1787712512)
00:48:42.753 --> 00:48:45.291
Yeah, I don't think that's gonna be possible.

168 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:48:47.437 --> 00:49:07.850
Okay, we've got about 5 min left. Let me jump down very quickly. Let me just verify, do we have anybody for a public comment Latifa? I didn't see anybody in the chat. Okay, so we got right at 5 min left or 4 min now. Let me jump down to this very last bullet point, which is conference and event partnership support.

169 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:49:07.850 --> 00:49:32.514
This was really from the lens of how are we as the strategic partnerships committee supporting those efforts. Having said that, this was drafted prior to our last commission meeting where I think Candace is running, is exploring some things. Is there so Candace is probably a question for you, sorry, apologies for putting you on the spot.

170 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:49:33.294 --> 00:49:53.447
Is there, is there a tangible realistic goal outside of what we've already talked about, obviously supporting with money volunteering. Are there any specific goals from this committee related to conference and events that you think we need to think about right now? Or do you think that's a little premature if you're exploring some other things? I don't want to say I guess I don't want to spend a lot of time on it if you're like, I don't need that.

171 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:49:53.447 --> 00:50:17.660
You know what I mean? No, NO. It's a it's a two pronged question. There are you given what we talked about at the commission of how we could move forward after 2027 is a different conversation. It's a little bit more time to curate what that looks like. But for this upcoming conference for the February 2027, there could be some space there just to reach out.

172 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:50:17.660 --> 00:50:39.600
To different volunteer centers that are, you know, that we have or maybe that somebody else have different, faith based organizations that could benefit from this, you know, so the, that spectrum and umbrella is big on who could actually come sponsorships that we could, in kind donations. Like, you know, the list could go on and on for direct things that we could do.

173 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:50:39.600 --> 00:50:59.600
Of five, four to six month campaign on, you know, how, how, what, what do you have that can contribute to enhance the conference that we have right now? You know, just an example just if you know, if you have a connection at Walmart, it'd be nice to have Walmart gift cards. So I'm not saying that this is just an example, but just different ways like that that we could.

174 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:50:59.600 --> 00:51:06.253
That we can increase any kind of visibility from a partner that would love to partner with us.

175 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:51:06.253 --> 00:51:13.955
Okay, so so it sounds like you probably kind of lumped this into what we were just talking about a little bit. We really just need your connections. What do you have access to that we might lean on to? Okay.

176 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:51:13.955 --> 00:51:28.296
Right or any idea you know or any ideas we might be thinking of it too, you know, too tunnelly, but what what does what are your ideas? What does that look like to enhance the the conference GVSA? You know, just what, what does that look like?

177 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:51:28.296 --> 00:51:46.740
And I can add really quickly Nathan piggybacking off of what Kena said and maybe two years ago Kena shared the, the sponsor packet with us, and so there's a folder right now in the SharePoint folder, and it's the list that I was just talking about. That's what.

178 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:51:46.740 --> 00:52:06.740
Commissioners committee members were inputting their information on and they would reference like what step they could take, like I referenced last time we talked about this Caroline Letley, she wasn't able to take the next step in reaching out to the donor, but she had referenced like and put their information in those who she thought would be good and.

179 "Latiyfa Fields" (2927800320)
00:52:06.740 --> 00:52:21.035
So anyways, there's that spreadsheet and it's in this folder. I can put it in if the committee decides to determines that that's what they want to do and have as a goal to actually identify. Okay.

180 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:52:21.035 --> 00:52:42.630
So with that, I know we're like right at time. So just to recap what we just discussed, and this is mainly for Latifa's benefit to actually make sure we're all on the same page cause she's gonna have to try to make sense of what we just discussed. So, as it relates to the road show, we're gonna try to have one by the end of the year. We want to have commissioner presence at those.

181 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:52:42.630 --> 00:52:59.970
And then we've identified some additional items that we're gonna need to work through in order to make the roadshow successful. Some things we're gonna need to create resources, some logistics plans, sponsors, in terms of like there might be some financial needs related to those. So that's related to roadshow.

182 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:52:59.970 --> 00:53:29.574
The other one, the other buckets broadly are really around connections from commissioners as a whole. Did we land on a number? Is there an idea, is there a goal number? We would like every commissioner, again, not just this committee, but every commissioner to recommend five potential partnership opportunities, whether that be financial corporate, is five a number or is that too many, is that too low? Are we ambitious and we say 15? I don't know. What are we, what, what are we feeling? I see Andrea I saw you talked to.

183 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:53:29.574 --> 00:53:33.958
Head, what was that number two I'd say five and if they give us more.

184 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:53:33.958 --> 00:53:41.314
Perfect. At least five. So we would like a minimum of five potential partnership contacts from every commissioner.

185 "Andrea Hill" (483129600)
00:53:41.314 --> 00:53:46.267
And we know that some maybe some duplicates, but that'll be fine. Yeah, ok.

186 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:53:46.267 --> 00:54:00.234
And then as a part of that, we need to create a system, which it sounds like roughly we can mimic a modified version of what we've done before, but a system for tracking those things and we can workshop through that. What else is on the list that I just.

187 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:54:00.234 --> 00:54:11.236
When we communicate five, can we make sure that the communication clears like different categories of of these partnerships that we're looking for?

188 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:54:11.236 --> 00:54:36.333
Yeah, I think some definitions of what we just talked about, right? When we said partnership, we're talking about a potential funder or a business or corporate entity that might have an interest in CSP or right, and we kind of list all, if they check one of these boxes, include them. No I think that I think that's a good point James, so people have some very, some clarity on who we're looking for exactly. Candice?

189 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:54:36.333 --> 00:55:05.294
We don't have enough time. I was thinking when you, when you said that I was like, gosh, we have, just going back to the conference with children's organizations can we reach out to if we're gonna bring back the student of the student portion with education or higher education places that we can get in contact with for higher education, so we have a lot of buckets that we could, that we could explore. I don't want to get too detailed because I don't want things people to think that, you know, I can't feel all of these spots, but just keeping it.

190 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:55:05.294 --> 00:55:33.600
Thanks Jim. Yep. No, I like that. On that last note, now I I think what I like about this model is I feel like we've had this similar conversation on lots of, lots of different calls about just needing contacts and resources. And at the end of the day, the same, it's the same group of commissioners regardless of which initiative we're talking about. So if we just had all of their contacts on one list, we can pick and choose when we need them. I know that sounds awful, right? But it's like, we don't need to recreate that list for seven different things. Thanks, Andrea. So, ok, I know we're on time.

191 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:55:33.600 --> 00:55:50.360
Time we're actually 2 min over. Thank you all so much. You're amazing. You're all wonderful. You're very busy people. Latifa, you and I will follow up. Okay. Good luck tomorrow, please, please good luck to, so Latifa, you'll be there. James, I think you said you were actually going, Candace, are you going to?

192 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:55:50.360 --> 00:55:54.511
I am not.

193 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:55:54.511 --> 00:55:56.334
Just an update.

194 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:55:56.334 --> 00:56:10.851
We were able to get the plaque. Awesome. We were able to get the plaque done and ready. I think the last place is was to pickup, but Latita and Jim were coordinating that, but I just wanted to give the update that the plaque was the plaque is ready.

195 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:56:10.851 --> 00:56:26.693
Alright, thank you for your work on that and send me what I need to do in terms of money, just let me know if I need to, if you want me to use that new link and, and, and donate or let me know. I mean just let you think about it, let me know how I need to reimburse. So you think about that. Yep. All right. Thank you.

196 "Candace Taylor" (2962814720)
00:56:26.693 --> 00:56:29.555
Nathan I appreciate that. Nikki will love it. Thank you so much.

197 "Nathan" (3994075392)
00:56:29.555 --> 00:56:37.894
No, of course. Okay, thank you all so much. Good luck tomorrow for those that are gonna be there. It's gonna be great. I look forward to all the photos. Y'all are all rock stars, take care of yourself. Be healthy. Okay. Bye.

198 "James Hoggard" (778924544)
00:56:40.353 --> 00:56:43.232
Hi.
