This course provides an overview of circumstances that require forcible entry into a structure and basic steps and considerations in forcible entry operations. This course provides a list of the general safety rules to follow when carrying/using forcible entry tools. In addition, it provides a list of tools used in forcible entry and the maintenance required and helps identify them as striking, prying, spreading, and cutting tools. Students will learn door construction, classifications and door locks and how construction and locks affect what tools and entry approach is required.
