Call for Artwork - Breaking Ground Arts Issue 2017

Thursday, August 03, 2017 | 09:14am

The Council's magazine Breaking Ground produces an annual issue dedicated to art by and about Tennesseans with disabilities and their families. This special issue will once again be co-sponsored by our partners at the Tennessee Arts Commission and VSA (Very Special Arts) Tennessee, as it has been for the past several years.

Do you write short stories, creative essays or poetry? Do you paint, sculpt, draw or take photographs?

Breaking Ground magazine invites you to contribute to our Annual Arts Issue for 2017-18. We will consider fiction, creative essays and poetry up to 1,000 words, photos and all other forms of artwork.

Content is devoted to work by or about persons with disabilities.

We will give published contributors a prominent by-line, a biographical note and copies of the printed magazine.

Please include your full name, complete contact information, and a one-to two-sentence bio with your submission. Please limit submissions to three (3) per person. Submission deadline is Oct. 31, 2017.

Send submissions electronically to Ned Andrew Solomon at ned.solomon@tn.gov. Questions? Please call 615.532.6556
