Urgent Need for Drivers in Hardeman CountyDeath of Nutrition Director Prompts Call for Volunteers to Deliver Meals
NASHVILLE, Sept. 29, 2020 -- The TCAD community is saddened to learn of the death of Linda Lawler, the nutrition director at the Southwest Human Resource Agency. Aside from the personal loss to her family and friends, her death means that the Hardeman community will have to find another way to deliver meals to the older citizens who relied on her energy and devotion.
Here’s how you, your church, your business or your organization can assist:
The Need: About 15 volunteers to help with two primary areas: Grab and Go meal pick-up and meal delivery to older adults’ homes.
The Details: Volunteers will meet at the Southwest Human Resource Agency, 793 Tennessee Street, Suite A, Bolivar, TN 38008.
- Grab and Go Meals are done every Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. - noon.
- Meal delivery takes place on Thursdays of each week from 9 am - noon. On the first and third Thursday of the month, meals are delivered toward the Middleton area. On the second and fourth Thursday, meals are delivered toward the Toone area.
