The Achievement School District (ASD) received Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2. The federal relief funding is a significant opportunity for school districts in the state to accelerate student achievement. Outcomes achieved over these four years can set a policy and investment foundation for years to come. As a result, the ASD has developed comprehensive plans to ensure all ESSER funds will be used to support the safe re-opening and the sustainability of safe operations of all ASD schools by addressing the impact on the coronavirus pandemic on students and families. ESSER funds will be used to support school-level and district initiatives such as; but not limited to, addressing learning loss/learning acceleration, supporting socio-emotional and mental health needs, facilities repairs and improvements, and purchasing educational technology.
