Quiz Review Ages/Numbers of Children in
No more that three (3) children in care may be placed in a home
No more that six (6) children (birth,adoptive, or foster) may be in
No placement is allowable if it would result in three (3) children
under three (3) years of age.
DCS must make specific efforts to assure that the numbers of
children (birth, adoptive, and foster) in homes are appropriate
to allow families to meet children’s needs.
Exceptions, which include the following, must be approved by the
Assistant Commissioner in writing and documented in the case
Best interest of the child.
Exception is due to the placement of a sibling group with no
other children in the home.
