Department of Children’s Services must ensure that all children have an assessment (a standardized protocol)
within fifteen (15) working days of their custody date.DCS must use assessment results to determine children’s placement.There are no exceptions to this requirement.
ØThe assessment shall include a medical evaluation and psychological evaluation if indicated, within 30 calendar days.
