Identity of Ft. Loudoun Boating Victim Released

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.---The identity of the victim Wednesday’s boating incident on Ft. Loudoun Lake has been released.

Joshua Armon Davis, 18, of Knoxville, died after falling overboard from a boat that was adrift in the Little Turkey Creek area of Ft. Loudoun Lake in Knox County. Witnesses say that Davis had a personal flotation device in his hand when he fell into the water, went under and never resurfaced.  TWRA officers and investigators located the victim by use of a remote operated vehicle and divers from the Knox County Rescue Squad recovered his body at 9:45 p.m.  There were two other occupants on the boat at the time of the incident.  

A medical examiner with the Regional Forensics Center has ordered an autopsy. The incident is under investigation by the TWRA.
