Grainger, Hawkins and Jefferson counties
(Acts of Tennessee 1870 [Second Session], Chapter 6).

The county seat is Morristown.

NEWSPAPERS ON MICROFILM 

Newspapers were published in Morristown and Whitesburg.  Scattered early issues are available from 1881, and a complete run begins in 1966.
