• All undergraduate programs accept at least one form of PLA.
• Only the following programs accept portfolio credit:
• Bachelor of Applied Science
• Bachelor of General Studies
• Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies
• Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies


Do PLA policies differ from department to department?

Yes.

Can PLA credits be transferred between departments and programs within this institution?

Portfolio assessments cannot be transferred internally. All other forms of PLA can be transferred internally.

Please note that when you change degree programs or majors, that some courses and credits may no longer be relevant and thus will not transfer.

Generally, general education courses and electives will transfer but courses in the major may not.

As an example, how do CLEP tests appear on a student's transcript?
Credit is applied when petitioned by the student and appropriate scores are evaluated on a course by course basis. Credit is awarded with a grade of P (passed) as CLEP credit.
