TCCY Children’s Resource Mapping Director Position Available (Executive Service)

Position Description: Implements the requirements of TCA 37-3-116 that requires TCCY to implement resource mapping. Since the resource mapping reporting is ongoing, special emphasis is required for detailed organization and archiving of electronically submitted data to enable trend analysis and comparison.

  • Compiles and analyzes state program and expenditure data for services provided to children from all state agencies that serve children.
  • Serves as the liaison to answer questions or resolve issues encountered by these partner agencies during data collection and entry. 
  • Arranges group technical assistance or one-on-one training as requested by resource mapping participants.
  • Enters resource mapping data to report TCCY expenditures on programs for children and youth.
  • Prepares and disseminates an annual report to the legislature and all state agencies that participate in the data collection process.
  • Organizes and leads a quarterly Advisory Committee of state agency personnel who contribute to the report.
  • Makes presentations about resource mapping data and analyses as requested. 


Collaborates with Shared Services Solutions to assist with TCCY-specific accounting needs as they relate to administration of Federal Juvenile Justice funds, preparation of quarterly financial reports and preparation of the annual state budget submission.


Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and a minimum of four years of professional experience working in the field of accounting, preferably in Tennessee State Government. Expertise in using Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic and Access required.


Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Certification in Public Accounting preferred. Candidates should be familiar with various state agencies providing services to children and families as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should also be proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
