AN ACTTo amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 54, Chapter 5, Part 7, relative to implementing a directional sign program for wildlife management areas, wildlife refuges and state lakes, established and operated pursuant to Title 70.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of the law or rule and regulation to the contrary, the Department of Transportation is directed to implement a directional signing program on the state's state and federal highways denoting wildlife management areas, wildlife refuges and state lakes, established and operated pursuant to Title 70.
SECTION 2. The Department of Transportation shall promulgate necessary rules and regulations to accomplish the effect and intent of this act. Such regulations shall provide for the department to charge fees to cover the cost of signing.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the act which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to that end the provisions of this act are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
