AN ACT Providing for the compilation and publishing of an historical markers guide on the African-American markers placed throughout the State of Tennessee.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of the law to the contrary, the staff of the Historical Commission is hereby directed to compile and publish a guide on the African-American markers placed throughout the State of Tennessee.
SECTION 2. The purpose of such a guide is to acquaint citizens and visitors with the cultural and historical heritage of African-Americans in Tennessee.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
