Macy Brooke Bastin was born March 1991, to Tim and Sharon Bastin of Hohenwald. She had two older sisters, Ciji and Jena. She had just graduated from high school and was looking forward to starting college. Macy wanted to become a dental hygeniest. She had always said that the beach was her favorite place. She loved to be outside, washing her Civilac (Honda Civic) as she called it and "gettin her tan on." She was so full of life and had so many friends. Macy loved everybody. It didn't matter if you had little or had a lot, she treated everybody the same. She was a very independent young woman. She worked at Pizza Hut as a waitress while going to school. She loved to have her own money to go shopping. Macy loved to sing. She could sing a lot better than she thought she could. She participated in many talent shows and musical events in our community and surrounding counties. She loved Kenny Chesney (country), rap and rock...all kinds of music. Macy had her own unique style. Whatever she wore, she always added her pearls. Her favorite was a tank top and cut-off denim skirt, exactly what she was wearing the night she was killed while riding with a friend on a rural county road. The person Macy said she would like to meet on her MySpace page: "God...He has all the right answers to everything." We miss her so much and could never even imagine the pain of losing a child, but we trust God that, like Kenny Chesney sings, we will "see her again someday
