In Tennessee, there were 15 fatal crashes resulting in 18 deaths, yielding a fatality rate of one death per
four hours and eighteen minutes.

8 crashes were single vehicle crashes; 7 were multiple vehicle crashes.

Six (33%) of the fatalities occurred in alcohol-related crashes.

Ten of the people killed were vehicle occupants.
            Six of the 10 (60%) were not wearing safety restraints.
            Three of the 6 (50%) were ejected from their vehicle.
            No child passengers requiring child safety seats were killed.

Four motorcyclists were killed; all were wearing helmets.

Four pedestrians were killed.
