Nashville, Tennessee --- Tennessee Highway Patrol Safety Education Officers will participate in a 2-day training program for young drivers this weekend at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA), 3025 Lebanon Road, in Nashville. The free, real-life training for teen drivers, is part of the Driver’s Edge National Tour and is sponsored by Bridgestone Firestone. The program is scheduled for Saturday, June 9 – Sunday, June 10 at the TLETA training course. Driver’s Edge is a non-profit organization that tours the United States annually offering a unique combination of expert behind-the-wheel and classroom instruction to help supplement young driver training.
THP Safety Education Officers will assist Driver’s Edge trainers with education on the impact of impaired driving and the importance of vehicle safety.

and fatalities—the #1 killer of teenagers.

Session One: 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Session Two: 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m

WHO: Jeff Payne, Driver’s Edge founder, Steven Tepper, Driver’s Edge Chief Operating Officer,
and the Edge team of professional racecar drivers along with 200 young drivers, aged 15-21
