Interstate Reopens

Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Highway Patrol advises that I-40 is fully opened as of 2:35pm following a 3-vehicle crash early this morning at MM 181 in Dickson County. A back up of traffic will remain as traffic clears. Two tractor trailer rigs and a Toyota were involved in the crash that shutdown both lanes of traffic until it could be diverted on Highways 96 and 100.

The department encompasses the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Office of Homeland Security and Driver License Services. General areas of responsibility include law enforcement, safety education, motorist services and terrorism prevention.
