Trooper Cadet Class 607 Begins Training

Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Highway Patrol is proud to announce that Trooper Cadet Class 607 has begun training.

Forty-two new cadets will spend the next 18 weeks in classroom training, with graduates advancing to a minimum of four weeks of field training. The 836 hours of classroom training is divided into 12 major categories that include criminal and constitutional law, patrol procedures, professional ethical conduct and firearms.

The Tennessee Department of Safety Training Center is located at 275 Stewarts Ferry Pike, just north of I-40 in eastern Davidson County.

MEDIA PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Safety Commissioner David Mitchell will welcome the new cadets at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30th, during a ceremony at the training center. The media is welcome to attend.
