Heavy Fog Monteagle Mountain

Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Highway Patrol is working two traffic crashes on Monteagle Mountain this morning. Neither is thought to be serious at this time, but traffic is affected. Heavy fog on the mountain is reducing visibility and is making driving difficult. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until the fog lifts.
The Tennessee Department of Safety's mission is (www.tn.gov/safety) to ensure the safety and general welfare of the public. The department encompasses the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Office of Homeland Security and Driver License Services. General areas of responsibility include law enforcement, safety education, motorist services and terrorism prevention.
