Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety wishes to inform the public that the Driver License Testing Center located at 7320 Region Lane in Knoxville will be CLOSED Friday, June 23. Employees of the Knoxville station will be deployed to the West 40 Knoxville location and Maryville driver license center to assist with the anticipated increase in customers.
Customers in need of driver license services may seek assistance at the Parkway Business Center, 207 Center Park Drive, Suite 2170 in Knoxville or 318 Home Avenue in Maryville. Both centers are open Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. The closure is necessary in order to make essential infrastructure upgrades to the location.
Customers are reminded that they can avoid a trip to a driver license station completely by visiting the department's Online Services page. It's just one click off the department's home page at www.tn.gov/safety. Online services include renewals, duplicates, reinstatements and change of address requests.

The department encompasses the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Office of Homeland Security and Driver License Services. General areas of responsibility include law enforcement, safety education, motorist services and terrorism prevention.
