Chattanooga's Bonny Oaks Driver License Station Closed Friday, June 9

Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety wishes to inform the public that the Driver License Testing Center located at 6502 Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga will be CLOSED Friday, June 9. Employees of the Chattanooga station will be deployed to the Cleveland and Jasper driver license centers to assist with the anticipated increase in customers.

Customers in need of driver license services may seek assistance at the Cleveland Driver License Center located at 301 James Asbury Drive NW or the Jasper Driver License Center located at 4950 Main Street, Building D. Both centers are open Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. The closure is necessary in order to make essential infrastructure upgrades to the location.

Customers are reminded that they can avoid a trip to a driver license station completely by visiting the department's Online Services page. It's just one click off the department's home page at www.tn.gov/safety. Online services include renewals, duplicates, reinstatements and change of address requests.

The Tennessee Department of Safety's mission is (www.tn.gov/safety) to ensure the safety and general welfare of the public. The department encompasses the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Office of Homeland Security and Driver License Services. General areas of responsibility include law enforcement, safety education, motorist services and terrorism prevention.
