Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety wishes to inform the public that the Driver License Testing Center located at 100 Benchmark Circle in Jackson will be CLOSED Friday, June 2. Employees of the Jackson driver license center will be deployed to the Dresden and Whiteville driver license centers to assist with the anticipated increase in customers.

Customers in need of driver license services may seek assistance at the Whiteville Driver License Center located at 200 Harris Street or the Dresden Driver License Center located at 8598 Highway 22. Both centers are open Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. The closure is necessary in order to make essential infrastructure upgrades to the location.

Customers are reminded that they can avoid a trip to a driver license station completely by visiting the department's Online Services page. It's just one click off the department's home page at www.tn.gov/safety. Online services include renewals, duplicates, reinstatements and change of address requests.
