Hart Lane Driver License Station Closed Friday, May 19

Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety wishes to inform the public that the Driver License Testing Center located at 624 Hart Lane in Nashville will be CLOSED Friday, May 19. Employees of the Hart Lane center will be deployed to other locations in Nashville to assist with the anticipated increase in customers.

Other driver license facilities located in Nashville are:

  • 6604 Centennial Blvd. - Full Services Offered, M - F, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • 1601 Murfreesboro Road - Express Services ONLY (Renewals, Duplicates ONLY), M - F, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • William J. Snodgrass Bldg., 312 8th Avenue North - Express Services ONLY (Renewals, Duplicates ONLY), M - F, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. The closure is necessary in order to make essential infrastructure upgrades to the location.

The Tennessee Department of Safety's mission is (www.tn.gov/safety) to ensure the safety and general welfare of the public. The department encompasses the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Office of Homeland Security and Driver License Services. General areas of responsibility include law enforcement, safety education, motorist services and terrorism prevention.
