Murfreesboro Driver License Testing Station Remains Closed for Repairs

Nashville, Tennessee --- The Tennessee Department of Safety's Driver License Testing Station in Murfreesboro will remain closed for the rest of this week for repairs. It suffered extensive damage Tuesday when a man taking a test for a driver license accidentally crashed a car into the building.

"The safety of the people who come to our offices is of the utmost importance to us," says TDOS Deputy Commissioner Tom Moore. "We want to make certain that all repairs have been completed before the office is reopened." Driver license examiners assigned to the Murfreesboro station are working at other offices while the repairs are made. The Department plans to re-open the station next Tuesday at the regular time, 7:00am.

Full service driver license testing stations are also located in Wilson, Coffee, Williamson, Warren and Davidson Counties. Customers who need renewals or duplicate licenses can complete those transactions online, at the Department's Express Station at the corner of Murfreesboro Road and Donelson Pike in Nashville or at a full service location. Customers requiring testing must visit a full service location.
